Why SmartVoting?

SmartVoting is based on the Ardor blockchain which is a public blockchain and fully auditable by anyone. Ardor has the “voting system” transaction type inbuilt which makes it extremely secure and bug-free.

Why voting on blockchain?

Conventional voting systems require you to write your vote on a piece of paper and then the vote is out of your hands. Someone will read your vote, interpret it and count it.

E-voting platforms instead do offer a more modern way of voting, but the voting platforms are running on a single server or within a single entity that can control that system.

Blockchain voting solves that problem. The platform is in the hands of no one… it’s a network of nodes that don’t trust one another allowing the system to be fully trustless.

How do I test SmartVoting?

The voting creation form on this website is running on the ardor testnet and therefore it’s meant to be used for testing.

Just create a testnet ardor account or SEED and ask us for some test tokens. That’s all you need to run your test.

How much does it cost?

SmartVoting costs are: network fees + 0.1 Ardor for each voter.
Fees cost:
- 8 Ardor for MS creation;
- 2.4 Ardor for each question
- 2.11 Ardor for each voter + 0.01 for each additional question;
- In case of REUSE, for the reused amount of users the 2.11 + 0.01 mentioned in previous point become 0.01 + 0.01
